Arunachal Chief Preacher Pema Khandu today claimed the Indian Army will give a proper reply if a person attempts to overstep. His statements come simply days after the soldiers of both countries clashed in the Tawang market of Arunachal Pradesh.
“Yangtse is under my setting up constituency & every year I meet the Jawans & citizens of the area. It’s not 1962 anymore. If any individual tries to overstep, our take on soldiers will provide a proper reply,” Mr Khandu claimed in a tweet.
Earlier today, Support Preacher Rajnath Singh made a declaration in Parliament on the incident in Yangtse, Tawang on December 9.
Mr Singh claimed Chinese soldiers attempted to overstep the LAC which led to a scuffle in between the troops. Yet the Indian soldiers “forced the Chinese soldiers to go back to their messages and prevented a land-grab,” Mr Singh stated.
There were no casualties or serious injuries to Indian troops in the scuffle, he added.
Border tensions in between India as well as China vastly rose in June 2020, when clashes broke out at Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh, in which 20 Indian soldiers needed the country and also over 40 Chinese soldiers were killed or harmed.
