The Worlds Times: Explain your background and “SHUFTIPRO” in detail.
Dr. Costas Konis: I like to think of myself as a systems thinker who likes to address problems and challenges in a systemic way with a passion for applied creativity and innovation. I think my academic background in Engineering in USA andManagement Sciences in Europe, are very helpful in this direction. With respect to professional spectrum of activities I was fortunate enough to work with both private and public sector, lots of consultants, high tech companies, EU and World Bank projects and other. Also I was involved in a lot of training for executives in lots of organisations, something that allowed me to interact and enhance my perceptions and understand how people think and interact.I am very proud of my association with Shuftipro. It is a company that offers me the potential to contribute to its mission and visionwhich I truly aspire. Shuftipro is a great company that has been founded by two young bright innovators and visionaries who embarked in a wonderful journey of providing the world with a reliable, accurate, fast, simple, affordable, and innovative and state of the art system that builds trust by verifying and authenticating identity of both individuals and organisations. In the short life span of its activities (launch was only in 2017), ShuftiPro earned numerous international awards and added new high quality additional products and services in its portfolio. I believe that this derives from its ability to understand real problems and think differently.

Dr. Costas Konis: Visionary
The Worlds Times: How do you stand unique from your competitors?
Dr. Costas Konis: There are many things that set Shufti Pro apart from competition. Some of the most important are simplicity, accuracy, coverage, quality of support, knowledge and skills,and open mindedness and. I believe one of the biggest differentiating factors of ShuftiPro is its ability to listen carefully to the specific needs of its clients and then do its very best to accommodate them even it requires additional work and effort. In fact Shufti Pro does not aim to offer readymade package fit for all but instead starting from the question “what would you like the system to do for you “.

Dr. Costas Konis: My goal with ShuftiPro is to support its journey to success with innovative suggestions and ideas that will contribute to improving even better, our offerings, our processes and the support we give to our clients.
The Worlds Times: What do you feel is the biggest strength of “SHUFTIPRO” right now?
Dr. Costas Konis: I think that ShuftiPro’s biggest strength is its ability to be flexible and innovative. Being an innovative technology company allows Shufti Pro to be flexible, open minded and offer to its clients the very best answers to real problems. The quality and know how it possesses allows Shufti Pro to to design any and implement any feature or task and follow market’s needs and demands without any limitation.
Path Took by Dr. Costas Konis
The Worlds Times: What was the path you took to get to where you are today?
Dr. Costas Konis: I have always wanted to be innovative and creative and have attended numerous formal training programs in these fields. Later on, I moved on the other side of the bench and have trained hundreds of individuals in big organizations in creativity and innovative thinking. When I met the two founders of ShuftiPro I was amazed by their vision, motivation and desire to change the world in their particular field. We started communicating and exchanging ideas and when they offered me the opportunity to join their management team from the position of Head of Innovation I gladly accepted. Later on I proposed we setup our presence in Cyprus for various reasons. My suggestion was approved and now I am glad to say that we have offices and a great team in Cyprus too.
The Worlds Times: Why was “SHUFTIPRO” founded?
Dr. Costas Konis: ShuftiPro was founded in the way great companies should be founded. It was set up to solve a real problem faced by organizations all over the world. It was not setup the other way around. That is develop a fascinating technology and then seek for a reason and a market.The problem was real and existed. Our founders felt that the world deserved and needed a better way of performing these important tasks. They also knew that demand and pressure would increase and that speed, accuracy, ease of use and coverage, both geographic and regulatory should be enhanced. The system ought to be more comprehensive, more innovative and much better. Shufti Pro founders, new first hand of all ssues, problems and difficulties of the available identity verification systems at that time. So they made a list of all issues and problems and initiated a journey to solve and eliminate them and come up with a great new system. They called this Shufti Pro.
Future of SHUFTIPRO by Dr. Costas Konis
The Worlds Times: How do you see “SHUFTIPRO” changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?
Dr. Costas Konis: In two years, ShuftiPro will enhance its product portfolio significantly, improve its global coverage, fine tune its processes, improve its and performance and achieve more global expansion. In a few words, it will be the preferred identity authentication and verification system in the global market.
Challenges faced by Dr. Costas Konis
The Worlds Times: What are the key values which helped you to overcome the challenges in your path? Tell us something about your memorable incidence in your leadership.
Dr. Costas Konis: Key values for my path have always been professionalism, respect for people, effective and responsive listening and communicating and abiding with work ethics and appreciation of the value and huge potential of the human brain. I have had many memorable incidences but some of the most fascinating were every time we ended up a structured creativity effort with some brilliant and valuable ideas we could implement or use as a basis to build on.
The Worlds Times: What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome during the journey of your leadership?
Dr. Costas Konis: Identifying our success values and getting people to accept and adopt was a challenge and I am so happy and proud that all ShuftPro family shares them. These include an innovative, open minded culture that is pragmatic, supportive and dynamic. Developing a vision statement is certainly a challenging task but the real challenge is making sure that the vision is shared by all. I am very happy and proud that ShuftiPro’s vision of being the most trusted, most innovative, most preferred and most valuable trust offering system of the digital world is shared by its entire staff.
