The Worlds Times: Explain the background of you and the Company in detail.
Fitri Sulaiman: I am in the IT industries for about 20 years, starting out from just a desktop support staff to where I am right now. I founded this company with the hopes to be the first go-to option of the ICT/Event equipment hire company in Singapore. Our company found that the need for gadgets to support technology is growing more and more as the years go by. Registration purposes until payment transactions, all getting technologically enhanced.
The Worlds Times: What are your goals?
Fitri Sulaiman: To be the leading one stop services provider of ICT/Event & large pools rental asset company in Asia Pacific regions.
The Worlds Times: What do you feel is the biggest strength of RENTALMICE by NEW EDGE TECHNOLOGY right now?
Fitri Sulaiman: The biggest strength of the company lies in the inventory. We have a wide range of products to be catered for current market’s trend demand as well as recent years technology. All in good conditions and ready-to-go.
The Worlds Times: What was the path you took to get to where you are today?
Fitri Sulaiman: Building & maintaining a good rapport with our valued clients as well as our suppliers/partners are the contributing factors to achieving what we have achieved so far. It may not seem to be something crucial, but this little key factor is vital for survivability and sustainability.
The Worlds Times: What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome during the journey of your leadership?
Fitri Sulaiman: The biggest challenge was at the start of the establishment; Building up the brand. Like many companies out there, to convince clients as a start-up was definitely a challenge. Especially those who have not heard of us. Secondly, the decision making of asset procuring management, whereby investment of our rental asset equipment that we had invested was carefully decided for current & future market demand. As we believe an asset is a resource with economic value that will provide future benefits.

Fitri Sulaiman: Optimistic & dare to take risk. It’s definitely a useful trait to have in business.
The Worlds Times: What do you value most about RENTALMICE by NEW EDGE TECHNOLOGY vision?
Fitri Sulaiman: Being an ever-ready provider. We feel the highest level of achievement when we get to support our clients with their needs and repeating orders, be it local or overseas entities’ requirements and able to provide the cutting-edge technology to serve our valued customers.
The Worlds Times: Tell us about a RENTALMICE by NEW EDGE TECHNOLOGY project that forced you to be innovative and creative.
Fitri Sulaiman: To be honest, just like any other business, is the cashflow. To ensure that we always have a positive in our P&L sheets, we make sure the items we are renting out are not rented in the first place, and we work around that.
The Worlds Times: What are the strategies of your company and how do they stand unique from your competitors?
Fitri Sulaiman: Pre and Post-event management. One of our many strategies to ensure that we have the higher ground. It may or may not be unique compared to our competitors but it’s definitely a plus point for us. By going strong even after supporting our client’s events, the word-of-mouth that comes with it really helps to build the business.
The Worlds Times: What are the key values which helped you to overcome the roadblocks/challenges in your career? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?
Fitri Sulaiman: Perseverance. To be able to breakeven in just a few short months and getting a bigger office just to sustain the business are some of the moments we really treasure. Even getting repeat orders from our past clients is satisfying.
The Worlds Times: How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?
Fitri Sulaiman: To be a leading brand in South East Asia and hope to go beyond the region if possible. Actually, RentalMice by New Edge Technology had already supported several events in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand in Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. If the growth stays in our favour, we might need to expand the team gradually to cater to the regional needs.
The Worlds Times: Where is your leadership going? What benefits do your clients are getting from your company in this competitive world?
Fitri Sulaiman: From being a provider to being a partner. We are valiant enough to assist our clients by meeting & supporting their budget ranges for their project requirement. Apart from the bold move, we also ensure that our high standard service level is always maintained & on-demand onsite support if they ever need assistance.
The Worlds Times: What are the services/solutions or products offered by your company as par with the current industry standards? Tell us something about your upcoming products or services?
Fitri Sulaiman: We provide rental for items such as iPad, iPhone, tablets, desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, routers, Onsite registration solutions, EPOS system, AV equipment etc. Our clients just need to furnish us with their needs and we will definitely fulfil their orders. We are constantly in talks for our upcoming products but we have acquired talents who are able to perform web development, videography, copywriting and other digital skills just to cater for markets demand. With the broad skillsets that we have at New Edge Technology, we believe we can diversify & expand further from just being an ICT rental company.
