Apple needs to be careful with the upcoming iPhone SE. As the first mid-range iPhone in three years, it has to attract customers without hurting the sales of more expensive iPhones.
One choice that could cause trouble for Apple is lowering the SE’s specifications.
The iPhone SE Vs Android Smartphones
New information shows that the iPhone SE will have the same camera setup as older SE models, with just one lens in the main camera. This could be a problem because if you look at the competition, you’ll see a difference.
Many Android phones in this price range have at least two lenses on their main cameras. Some have a telephoto lens, others a wide-angle lens, and some even include a macro lens. All of these phones have an advantage with more camera lenses.
Most smartphones now have two lenses on the main camera. Compared to these top phones, the iPhone SE might seem outdated and feel less expensive.
How iPhone SE Sales Could Be Affected
This might not be a big deal for Apple’s loyal fans, but it could matter to people casually looking for a new phone in this price range. While the Apple brand is still popular, the weaker camera could make the whole phone seem less impressive.
Apple is expected to release the iPhone SE between late March and early April.
