English Premier Organization clubs Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, or Liverpool are being targeted by Qatar Sports Investments over a possible acquisition, Bloomberg News reported on Monday.Nasser Al-Khelaifi, chairman of Qatar Sports Investments, recently held talks with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy over a possible purchase of a stake in the club, the record stated, citing a person with expertise of the matter.
Qatar Sports Investments is considering either a complete requisition or a stake in Manchester United or Liverpool, according to the record.
In an emailed action, Tottenham Hotspur stated “there is no truth in reports that a conference happened pertaining to the sale of equity in the club”.
Manchester United’s U.S. proprietor, the Glazer family members, has been considering options for the 20-times English football champions, including a brand-new financial investment or a prospective sale.
In a statement in November, the club claimed that the Glazer family members is dealing with financial advisors on the process, which might result in a partial sale of the Old Trafford club or investments including arena and also infrastructure redevelopment.
Liverpool Chairman Tom Werner also stated in November that the Premier Organization side’s proprietor, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), was checking out a sale of the club.
Qatar Sports Investments is currently the owner of French football club Paris St Germain, and also has a stake in Portuguese football club SC Braga.
