Ice Cream Museum to open in Downtown, Miami
The Museum of Ice Cream is making a sweet return to Miami this September, and this time it’s here to stay. After its successful pop-up in Miami Beach in 2017, the museum is already opened a permanent location from September 6th at Miami Worldcenter in Downtown Miami.
Known for its fun, immersive experiences inspired by ice cream, the museum offers a multi-sensory adventure. Maryellis Bunn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of the Museum of Ice Cream, says, “Living in Miami and opening a museum here in 2017 was a dream, and it influenced how I designed our museums around the world.” She added that the new permanent space is their most creative yet, filled with sensory elements like taste, touch, and smell to enhance the experience.
To make the experience even more immersive, Museum of Ice Cream Miami teamed up with sensory scientists from International Flavors and Fragrances to create a multi-sensory tasting adventure that highlights the flavors of the tropical city.
The new museum spans 14,000 square feet across two floors, featuring interactive stations and experiences that celebrate Miami’s international culture, hospitality, and love for ice cream. With unlimited ice cream and endless photo opportunities, it’s sure to be a hit!
New features at the Museum of Ice Cream Miami include a retro-themed “Cream Liner,” a luxury 1960s-inspired airplane that whisks guests from downtown Miami into a world resembling orange creamsicles. Visitors can also explore the “Grand Hall of Freezers,” filled with mysterious doors that hide surprises—many of them tasty treats. And, of course, no visit would be complete without the famous sprinkle pool, this time designed as a tribute to Miami’s iconic Versace Mansion.
The experience is perfect for the whole family, with special offerings for adults, like ice cream-themed cocktails and adults-only hours. Whether swimming in sprinkles, exploring banana jungles, playing carnival games, or indulging in unlimited ice cream, the museum is designed to awaken the child in everyone.
To celebrate its opening, Museum of Ice Cream Miami will introduce new ice cream flavors from the popular Little Havana creamery, Azucar Ice Cream, along with Hailey Bieber’s coconut-based soft serve brand, Cosmic Bliss.
With locations in New York City, Austin, Chicago, Singapore, and soon Boston, the Museum of Ice Cream is a must-visit for ice cream lovers looking for fun in the Magic City. The museum opens to the public on September 6th, and tickets are available now at museumoficecream.com
